Now that we’ve got the hard part out of the way, let’s move onto the softball portion.
A new Acura NSX will cost you, oh, upward of $150,000 BUT that’s actually pretty good considering that it’s probably nicer than wherever you live. So if you think about it as a car AND your living situation, it’s actually a pretty cost-efficient choice. Two birds with one stone.
I mean, the engine has two turbochargers and an intercooled V6. What does your A/C unit have? A big rusty fan that will probably break next summer and costs too much to run anyway? The NSX uses magnets(!) to power its front wheels. I’ll bet the magnets on your fridge don’t do anything aside from making you bend over to pick up fallen pictures. That’s bad for your back.
You know what’s good for your back? Fancy-pants racing seats. They cuddle, they coddle, they support, and they’ll never make you feel anything less than a million bucks, which is a steal considering you only paid $150,000 (okay, $200,000 at the most).
Want to hear the good news? They start making these in the spring, which means that you can get one of the very first ones. Or, if you want to save a few dollars, you can pick up one of the original NSXs that came out in the 90s.
You could pick up a used NSX, mid-90s model with only about 65,000 miles on it for somewhere around $39,000. How about that! Cutting your costs down to one-fifth of the new cost! That degree of financial aptitude and savvy deserves a reward.
